Position Overview:
Nampa First UMC is looking for a director (or pastor if qualified) of student ministries who has great patience and love for children, a gift for crafting vision and culture, and a strong sense of administrative abilities. The leader within this role designs and implements all student ministry programs! This includes our weekday early childhood religious education program (a licensed preschool center), Sunday morning programming for kids and teens, special events throughout the year, and the connection of families to the larger church.

Nampa First United Methodist Church is located in Nampa, a suburb of Boise, Idaho. This area has been named in the top 10 places to live in the country. We're located in a valley with moderate winters (usually in the 30's) and warm summers (in the 80's and 90's). Despite our awesome valley weather, we are 40 minutes from National Forests and camping, 45 minutes up about 7,000 feet to snow skiing, 30 minutes from white water rafting, and 45 minutes from incredible hot springs. But, we're not just out in the sticks! Boise and the surrouding area have all the amenities you could ever want from beautiful parks, to shopping and dining, and even 3 colleges. This is an incredible place to serve in ministry, raise a family, and enjoy life. In fact, our pastor moved here all the way across the country to enjoy serving God right here.
As a United Methodist Church, we focus first on grace and mercy, not fire and brimstone. We work to be a church that welcomes persons who have either been a part of a church their whole life or those who have been harmed on their faith journey in other churches and turned away.
