The Kids Ministry Director will provide leadership for ministry to families of kids from birth through fourth grade at Crossroads. The director will develop a smooth, safe and effective Sunday morning program that lays a foundation for kids to know God’s love and His Word. This person will work closely with a Kids Ministry Leadership Team and the Next Gen Director to strategically develop leaders who minister to kids and their families. The director may recommend hiring an intern or support staff if needed. The Kids Min Director reports to the Executive Pastor.

Key Roles:

• Work with Next Gen Director to develop strategic discipleship for Kids Ministry.
• Work with the Next Gen Director and Pastor of Discipleship to select curriculum for Kids Min.
• Establish a Kids Min Leadership Team of adults to develop ministry plans.
• Build relationships with Kids Min Leadership Team and develop them as followers of Jesus and leaders of ministry.
• Create a safe and engaging environment for children (infants through 4^th grade) during Sunday morning worship services (9:00am and 10:30am).
• Oversee communication and scheduling of volunteers for Sunday morning program (through Planning Center Online).
• Identify and train volunteers to help lead Sunday morning program.
• Oversee the Kids Ministry budget.

Qualifications:

• Is a fully devoted follower of Jesus who wants to help the next generation follow Jesus too.
• Is eager to grow and learn as a follower of Jesus and a leader of people.
• Thinks creatively and deeply about discipleship strategies for families.
• Communicates well with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
• Understands how to communicate God’s Word in a way that is relatable to kids.
• Utilizes technology to reach and disciple kids, families, and leaders.
• Is hard-working, self-starting, and organized.
• Works well with teams, including staff and volunteers.
• Embraces and embodies the beliefs, mission, and values of Crossroads.
• Preferably has one or more years of experience in Kids Ministry.
• Preferably has earned a Bachelor’s degree

Time Commitment: Up to 30 hours/week

Pay: $20-27 per hour (depending on qualifications)
