About Linden Grove Ministries

Linden Grove Ministries is a non-profit ministry dedicated to mentoring pastors, church leaders, and their spouses. Through one-on-one mentoring, cohort-based learning, and development of a supportive leadership community, we equip our mentees for Christlike resilient ministry.

We began in September 2020, and by the grace of God we have grown rapidly over the past 4.5 years. To strengthen and expand our impact, we are seeking an Executive Mentoring Associate who will work closely with the Ministry Director to advance the strategic growth, organizational effectiveness, mentoring, and curriculum of our organization.

We are located in Princeton, NJ.

Position Overview

The Executive Mentoring Associate will play a key role in shaping the future of the ministry by helping to expand its reach, improve its organizational structure, develop and distribute its curriculum, and strengthen its mentoring programs. This individual will focus on strategic planning, organizational development, leadership training, and curriculum design, while also facilitating mentoring cohorts and supporting adjunct pastor mentors. 

This position will be full-time and is expected to continue indefinitely.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning and Ministry Growth
  • Develop and implement a strategy for expanding the ministry’s mentoring reach.
  • Assist the Director in identifying, recruiting, and training additional Adjunct Mentors to serve in various regions.
  • Assess and refine the ministry’s structure to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Work with the Ministry Director to cultivate new ministry partnerships.
  1. Organizational Efficiency and Design
  • Work with the Ministry Director and Administrator of Operations to strengthen internal processes and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to ministry workflows, mentor engagement, and cohort organization.
  • Assist in developing systems for tracking mentoring relationships and assessing impact.
  1. Leadership and Facilitation of Mentoring Cohorts
  • Lead two mentoring cohorts: ideally, one for pastors, and one for pastoral couples.
  • Support the ongoing training and development of Adjunct Mentors.
  • Engage in one-on-one mentoring with pastoral leaders as needed.
  1. Curriculum Development and Distribution
  • Work with the Director and Co-Director to design and refine mentoring curriculum for various levels of pastoral leadership, addressing especially the practical and personal aspects of ministry.
  • Develop resources for individual and cohort-based mentoring.
  • Ensure that curriculum aligns with the ministry’s mission and effectively serves pastors in diverse contexts.
  • Secure licensing and establish protocols for making LGM curriculum available to other mentors and ministries.
  1. Executive Support for the Director
  • Assist the Director with key initiatives, special projects, meetings, and ministry communications.
  • Provide leadership support in key areas, including event planning, donor engagement, and ministry reporting.
  • Represent Linden Grove Ministries at conferences and gatherings as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate:

  • Must have a heart for Christ and his Church, and therefore for equipping and strengthening pastors for long-term, faithful ministry.
  • Must demonstrate strong theological grounding, biblical knowledge, an active walk with Christ, and ministry wisdom.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of full-time business experience that included strategic planning, organizational development, and operational management.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of full-time pastoral experience in a local church.
  • Must have proven ability to develop curriculum tailored to different levels of pastoral leadership.
  • Must have significant experience in mentoring pastoral leaders, and must therefore possess a deep understanding of pastors’ challenges and needs.
  • Must have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Preferably should live within a reasonable distance of Princeton, NJ, due to regular, in-person meetings.
