Salem Media Group has an opening for an Engineering Assistant in New York, NY. WMCA 570 and AM970 The Answer is looking for part-time engineering assistants for “on call” audio, IT, and similar technical work. Hours are varied and project-related depending on weekly needs including evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
Working alongside the chief engineer supervisor in the day to day techincal, engineering, and computer tasks. Applicant must come ready to learn and retain some new concepts and put to work skills learned from prior experience.
Qualifications
Applicants should have some level of technical experience including computer, ethernet, IP-based audio, analog audio, and audio-related software. Building systems mechanical knowledge helpful to have. Broadcast transmitter experience and willingness to learn a plus. Punch block, cable repair/solder, wire crimping experience a plus. Experience with audio mixer configuration also a plus.
