About the Position

We’re seeking an experienced Office Manager who can seamlessly integrate HR management and bookkeeping to support the smooth operation of our organization. This role requires someone who is comfortable taking initiative, managing day-to-day HR and accounting responsibilities, and contributing to our team’s mission of stewardship and service.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources:
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and recruitment strategies for new positions
- Conduct compensation analysis and manage benefits administration to ensure competitive offerings
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates
- Administer semi-monthly payroll and manage employee 403B deferrals and employer contributions
- Handle compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
- Manage employee relations and serve as the main point of contact for HR inquiries
- Maintain employee records and process changes in employment status
- Audit employee and contractor time and expense reports for accuracy
- Coordinate employee leave management, time off tracking, and reconciliation
Accounting:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and vendor management
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and generate financial reports for the executive team and board of directors
- Maintain up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial summaries for executive review
- Assist with the annual CPA audit and compile necessary documentation
- Oversee insurance policies, registrations, and membership renewals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in office management, with an emphasis on HR and accounting responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of employment law compliance and the HR lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, etc.)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, ADP, and Expensify
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
