Position Summary: Provide forward-thinking, practical leadership to the facilities management of
Grace Church, empowering volunteers, overseeing facilities staff, and ensuring that the building and
grounds are managed with excellence and optimized for effective ministry.
Position Responsibilities Facilities:
1. Ensure that the facilities and grounds are kept in excellent working condition and look
aesthetically pleasing at all times.
2. Oversee facilities support staff, empowering them to fulfill various hands-on tasks.
3. Perform various hands-on tasks as necessary.
4. Recruit and empower volunteers to fulfill tasks and projects such as lawn
maintenance, chair setup, painting, etc.
5. Write and execute a 5-7 year facility management plan.
6. Work with contractors as necessary for scheduling upgrades, renovations, repairs, maintenance,
cleaning, snow removal, etc., ensuring that all work is done excellently, promptly, and at
a fair price.
7. Handle fire alarm incidents and empower others to do the same in your absence.
8. Communicate well with the appropriate people regarding facility updates, changes, and
issues.
